Jodie and Wencenza

Wencenza is owned by Beth and Roy Godwin of Jolly Bay Farm in Freeport, Florida.  The Godwins' long-term plan is for Jodie to take their mare all the way up the levels.  This is a wonderfully sensitive mare that is always ready to work.

Jodie and Wencenza

Wencenza was extremely successful at the KWPN keurings in 2006, with scores in the top national rankings.  In 2007 Wencenza took a break from showing to become a mother for the first time.  She returned to training in November 2007 and has quickly become a Young Horse superstar in 2008 showing on the Florida Winter circuit.

Our goal for 2008 was to qualify Wencenza for the USEF/Markel Young Horse Dressage Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.

Her performances in the first two qualifying events not only earned her the required qualifying scores but they also resulted in a place in the top twelve of the 2008 USEF National Young Horse Dressage rankings for the Five-Year-Old Division.

Wencenza move up two spots from her ranking finishing 9th in the Five-Year-Old Finals at the Championships in September.  Only three of the seventeen horses in the 5-year-old Division were bred in the USA.  Wencenza was one of those three.  Visit our News to read more about Jodie and Wencenza's 2008 USEF National Young Horse Dressage Championships experience.

Jodie and Wencenza captured top honors in the Prix St Georges Open division at the 2010 GAIG/USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships and Atlanta National Fall Dressage Show.  The judge awarded the pair a winning score of 70.263%.

In the first show of the 2011 season, The American Dressage Concours held at Fox Lea Farm in Venice, FL, Jodie and Wencenza rode the USEF Developing Horse Test for the FEI or Equivalent Test of Choice class aboard the 8-year-old mare.  This test is for horses 7 to 9 years of age competing at the FEI Prix St Georges level.  This show was a qualifying event for the 2011 USEF National Developing Horse Dressage Championships.  Judge Marlene Schneider awarded Jodie and Wencenza winning score of 70.000%.

A minimum overall average of 62% must be maintained for consideration to the National Developing Horse Dressage Championships.  Only the horse & rider combinations ranked in the top 15 nationally will receive invitations to this Championship.

Keep your eye out for this pair as the continue up the levels.
